Get to know me better

Hi! My name is Joanna, and a few years ago I decided to live in the land of tulips and windmills – the Netherlands, which quickly stole my heart. Early on in this adventure, I noticed that many Poles struggled with the language barrier, which hindered their daily lives and professional development. In response to these challenges, I founded a language school where I teach English, helping my students gain confidence and fluency in communication. Seeing their progress gives me immense satisfaction – it’s the best reward for my work!

My adventure with English began with a passion – from a young age, I was fascinated by American cinema and desperately wanted to understand the original dialogues. Over time, this curiosity turned into a love for the language, which led me to study at Jan Kochanowski University. There, I graduated with a degree in English Philology, specializing in translation – choosing this field was no accident, as it allowed me not only to develop my passion but also to delve deeper into the language from a cultural and linguistic perspective.

While living in the Netherlands, I noticed that the locals were very willing to speak English, making it easy to communicate without any prior knowledge of Dutch. At the same time, I believe that learning the local language is a great way to fully immerse yourself in the culture of the country where you live. I’m learning Dutch because, for me, the language is not only a communication tool but also the key to a better understanding of the Dutch mentality, customs, and lifestyle.

I pass on this same philosophy to my students – English is a global language that opens doors to communication worldwide, facilitating travel, professional development, and everyday life. That’s why my courses emphasize a practical approach and individually selected materials that help overcome the language barrier and achieve real progress.

I’m personally interested in astrology, although I have my feet firmly on the ground – I believe that success in language learning is a combination of motivation, consistency, and a well-chosen method.
